How it works

From our degh to your dastarkhwan.

1

Pick your daal

Add as many plates as you need and mix the daals freely — the rice comes hot and separate so nothing goes soggy on the way.

2

Tell us where to bring it

Name, phone, address. The order reaches our kitchen the moment you send it and we call you back within minutes to confirm. Prefer WhatsApp? That button is right there too.

3

Eat while it steams

Your tarka goes on at the last minute, the boxes are sealed hot, and our rider is at your gate in 30 to 45 minutes. Cash or online transfer.

A day in our kitchen

Cooked this morning, finished when you order.

  1. The daal goes in to soak

Each daal washed and soaked separately — the step most kitchens skip, and the reason ours holds its shape instead of turning to paste.

  2. Masala ground by hand

Whole cumin, coriander and red chilli, roasted and ground fresh. No packet masala, ever.

  3. Slow simmer on a low flame

Two and a half hours in a heavy degh, stirred often, never pressure-cooked into paste.

  4. Rice on

Basmati boiled in small batches through the day so no plate ever gets rice that's been sitting.

  5. Tarka at the last minute

Garlic crackling in desi ghee, poured over your portion as it's boxed. That sound is the whole point.

Assalam-o-Alaikum

We started because we missed home food.

Daal Chaawal began in a family kitchen, cooking for friends who were tired of oily takeaway and too busy to cook. Word spread the way it does with good food — one neighbour at a time.

We still cook in small batches, now out of our own kitchen at Civic Center, with the same three daals. If a degh doesn't turn out right, it doesn't leave the house. That's the only quality control we've ever needed.

Where we deliver

Bahria Town, phases 1 to 6.

Your order goes out from Phase 4 on its own run, as soon as it is boxed — we do not hold orders back to batch them. We stay inside Bahria Town on purpose — a short ride is the difference between daal that arrives steaming and daal that arrives lukewarm.

Questions people ask before their first order

How do I place an order?

Add what you want to your thali, then tap Place your order and fill in your name, phone and address. It reaches our kitchen straight away and we call you within a few minutes to confirm. If you would rather just message us, the WhatsApp button does the same job. No app, no account, no card details.

How do I pay?

Cash on delivery, or online transfer to our bank, Easypaisa or JazzCash. We'll share the details when we confirm your order on WhatsApp.

Is the food really cooked fresh?

Every day, from scratch. Daal is soaked at 6 AM and simmered through the morning; rice is boiled in small batches through service. Whatever is left at the end of the night doesn't get sold the next day.

Can I order for a party or an office lunch?

Yes — order a plate per person, or take the Daftar Box for five. For anything bigger than twenty people message us a day ahead so we can put on an extra degh.

How spicy is it?

Cooked to a comfortable family level — flavourful, not fiery. Tell us kam mirch or tez in your WhatsApp order and we'll adjust your portion before the tarka goes on.

Do you cater daily tiffin?

We do monthly tiffin for offices and students at a reduced rate. Message us on WhatsApp for the current monthly plan.
